This project, a Malaysian restaurant posing as a stamp shop, occupies a tucked away corner of the edgy Sheung Wan section of Hong Kong. Conceived as a speak-easy of sorts, one gains access by pressing one of the many stamps for sale in the sober street front facade. Once inside, visitors are greeted with a multitude of 1950's Chinese memorabilia. Classy, yet playful furniture and fixtures help to produce a charming and eccentric ambiance in this tiny restaurant. A green and pink color palette was used to stress the polarity between the fictionalized married couple whom are the proprietors. Mrs. Pound was designed within the office of Nelson Chow Design & Architecture.
